Having an annual blood screening is a key component for preventing various types of degenerative illnesses. By providing a snapshot of your current health, a blood screening can catch potential health problems before they fully rise to the surface so they can be managed most effectively.
Blood tests are pretty straightforward to carry out and fast to do. Moreover, they provide a wealth of information that can be beneficial to you. Regular blood testing is one of the most effective ways to keep track of your overall physical well-being.
We are delighted to introduce our Medical Doctor, Dr. Raj Dhillon (GMC No: 7450887). Raj graduated from the prestigious St Georges Medical School in 2014.
Whilst completing GP training attaining membership to the Royal College Of General Practitioners (MRCGP) he simultaneously completed postgraduate diplomas in both Nutrition and Facial Aesthetics.
Your blood test will be carried out by our Medical Doctor, Dr. Raj Dhillon (GMC No: 7450887). The test usually takes about 10 minutes.
A small amount of blood will be taken, usually from the inside of your elbow, using a needle. Sometimes blood may be taken from your wrist, or your finger (called a finger-prick test).
A soft strap (tourniquet) may be put around your arm first. This helps to make taking blood easier.
You’ll feel a scratch as the needle goes in, which may be a bit uncomfortable. Your blood will be collected in a small tube which will be sent to a lab for testing.
After the test, you'll usually be given some cotton wool or a plaster to cover the area where the blood was taken.
You may get some bruising or swelling around the area where your blood was taken, but this should go away after a few days.
Our private blood testing package covers a wide range of health checks, including: full haematology profile, infection and inflammation markers, cholesterol and lipid screens, kidney and liver function, diabetes (including HbA1C), iron and vitamin levels (such as B12, folate, Vitamin D), thyroid function, calcium and electrolyte balances, as well as male and female hormone screens based on individual needs.
All blood tests are carried out by trained healthcare professionals who are experienced in supporting patients that may feel nervous. The procedure is quick and gentle, and we’ll take the time to explain each step, answer your questions, and help you feel at ease throughout your appointment.
The test typically takes around 10 minutes. A small amount of blood is usually taken from the inside of your elbow using a needle, though occasionally a finger prick or wrist sample might be used. A quick scratch may be felt, and afterwards, you’ll be provided with cotton wool or a plaster for comfort.
We pride ourselves on delivering results promptly. Once your blood samples have been sent to the lab, we’ll ensure you receive the findings as quickly as possible, along with any necessary advice or follow-up.
Regular blood screening offers a valuable snapshot of your current health. It can detect early signs of conditions, such as metabolic or hormonal imbalances, often before symptoms emerge, allowing for early management and better overall wellness.
"I’ve visited Dr Raj several times now with my friend at his Esher Clinic. We are both Super impressed with the results. My family in Brighton recommended Dr Raj as they also have treatments with him.
He’s a lovely guy and very knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease. I would 100% recommend Dr Raj." - Emma Candy -
