It’s nice to hear that she had such a great experience of the HydraFacial at CrownWood MediSpa and enjoyed the atmosphere. Going home with lots of skincare routine tips is definitely an added bonus too!
“I had HydraFacial in the past at a different clinic, but CrownWood MediSpa gave me a completely different experience of the HydraFacial. Not just the atmosphere is so much calmer, the therapist Alice paid a great attention to my skin. And she gave me good advice of my skincare routine, e.g. using Retinol at home to keep up the result of HydraFacial. My skin texture and pigmentation on my face has improved since.”

Here is some fantastic advice from Dr Victoria Jaminson BDS, our highly qualified Medical Doctor here at CrownWood MediSpa.
“Always ask your injector what toxin they use.
Botulax, a product from South Korea which is licensed there and in other countries but not in Britain. Under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, it is UNLAWFUL to sell or supply an unlicensed medicine, which includes practitioners selling treatments with these products.
Allergan Botox, Azzalure and Bocouture are the only 3 approved products in this country. Make sure your clinician uses U.K. pharmacies with licensed products.
There have recently been reports of many complications in the industry caused by non regulated clinicians using products from pharmacies that are not allowed to be injected in this country!!
Always do your homework and ask what is being used on your face”
At CrownWood MediSpa, you can rest assured that all our Facial Aesthetics treatments are performed by fully qualified Medical Doctors and all our products are sourced from a UK regulated pharmacy which are traceable by manufacturers’ batch number.

Thanks to our highly qualified Facial Aesthetics expert, Dr Victoria Jaminson BDS, here are the answers to some frequently asked questions
1. Will my lips swell?
Possibly yes but not enormously and ice packs are rarely needed. You may wake up the next day thinking “Wow they are massive!” However this swelling disappears over the course of the day.
2. Will there be bruising?
There’s always potential of bruising no matter how gentle the injection. There are steps a good clinician can take to minimise bruising and recovery time should one appear. If you are someone prone to bruising try to avoid painkillers the week before treatment.
Always follow the aftercare as this facilitates a great outcome .
3. How do I know what you’re putting in my lips?
All our products are sourced from a UK regulated pharmacy which are traceable by manufacturers’ batch number.
4. I love a “big lip” can you do me this all in one sitting?
We’d say no. Whether you want big or subtle lips after treatment – a gentle 2 step approach allows your lips- as well as your friends and family – to adapt to your new look . Remember we can always add more as needed later until we get to where you’re happy, then just top up to maintain the shape and plumpness.
5. Will it hurt?
Lips can sting a little – that’s where topical numbing cream comes in. Everyone has a different pain threshold so we can’t give you a 1-10 scale rating. If you’re a little nervous let us know beforehand and we’ll talk you through the whole process.
